HERO/VILLIAN CARDS
CONSTRUCTIVISM
CARDS
DESIGN/PHOTOGRAPHY: Sierra Chisenhall
In this project we played a game called Hero/Villian mythology where we took a public figure or fictional character and did 12 cards on them based off of prompts given to us which where Place,Hero/Person, Hobby, Animal, Material, Birthplace, Vegetable, Parents, Philospy, Color, Civilization, Song. The color palette stuck to more cool toned reds and oranges to represent rotten fruit, bad apple, etc - because most people associate orange as a bright and fun color which I wanted to take and ruin it.
I did the route of hand drawn illustration + photo manpluation. I picked JK Rowling and painted her as a villian in reference to her transphobic values.
The images were meant to represent ‘childhood ruin’ as for example the weasel may look cute but it’s a deadly predator, teeth ready to cut down any prey it can find.
