In this project - I was assigned a Michigan Festival and was tasked to create poster(s) and a motion design piece along with it. The festival I got was Morel Mushroom Festival and decided to go for a family friendly appeal to it while still being true to my style! I wanted to make a series of a more silly and laid-back aesthetic for this project, using the morel mushrooms as the star of the show. The color palette I went for was a earthy and natural hues to represent the essence of the festival since this is a festival about mushrooms and collecting Morels is one of the biggest parts of this event and I wanted to make sure I captured that.

Throughout the sketching process we were tasked with creating collages, moodboards, and research through words, phrases, and jargons! In my research, I found a lot of information on the language of Mushroom hunting and foraging which then inspired the designs for the posters. I also wanted to include each set of the posters reflecting things that happen at the festival as well.
