In this project we had the wonders to work with the company Midea to create a dishwasher smart interface for the United States Demographics and given a certain group of people, we were given college age roomates.&#38;nbsp; Our main persona we created was Kyle Fletcher age 22 who shares appliances with his roomates. 


FINAL RENDERS

Our final product came to be a unique rotating dynamic handle with a smart-screen interface that could be easily accessed on the washer along with a smartphone app that connected to the washer that allowed Kyle to adjust the settings from his phone, send reminders to his roomates about cleaning duties in their shared space and notifications about his current dishwashing. Research / Sketching

When doing our research we did a series of interviews, mutiple sketches and even doing real-life prototypes of our washer. We wanted to make sure during this sprint that we had as much information as possible which led to our final product.

	In this project we were tasked to create a designer manifesto, in mine I wanted mine to strong reflect my views as a designer. The bear represents myself, made of mixed parts and collage to represent my soft inside while also bears can represent fierce and loyal protectiveness as mother bears are very protective of their young. I also made myself represented as a bear because I realized - many POC are often infantized and treated like subhuman so hence why I chose to represent myself as something not human in this project.

	In this project we were tasked with creating something that represented a designer of our choice that is well-known in the graphic design community. My choice was Lakota designer Sadie Red Wing, a designer and activist. The reason I chose this designer is due to the fact that not everybody chooses to do Native American influenced work especially taking the time to reach out and look into designers that represent someone like myself. (Anishinaabe / Chippewa Natives).

 I chose to go the print-design route with my project creating my own typeface based off of my own heritage (Chippewa patterns, beaded work, symbols, mythology). I created four posters that went together to build a larger one each poster representing a season with it’s respectful symbols that went with it and made something to bring awareness to visual sovereignty inspired by Sadie Red Wing activism work and a personal love letter to my own culture.

	In this project we were tasked to create a campaign based around Detroit’s sport team Red Wings and a prompt word which ours was ‘COLLABORATION’ . In our campaign we wanted to tackle the issues stemming around toxic masculinity in sports culture - spefically with young college age men who have the ‘frat boy’ type mindset to remind them it’s okay to be a team player, cleaning up after yourself, and being there for others in support.&#38;nbsp;
The people I worked with on this project were Jenna Vineyard, Morgan Guerrieri, Trinity Tubbs.&#38;nbsp;

	In this project I was tasked in a group project with William Darby to create a campaign to encourage young college students to vote for the #WHYVOTE Usa Competition . Our campaign focused on first time voters who were hesitant to use their civic duty and vote, using pushy and gritty aesthetics along with sharp words and bratty tone - we thought this way would help boost motivation while visually appeal to younger first time voters.&#38;nbsp; For our product delivery we had to create 1 motion piece, 1 vlog or thought piece and 3-6 still images for social media which is why the smaller ones are 1:1.&#38;nbsp;

MOTIONTYPOGRAPHY
	

In this project we were tasked in creating a short lyric video to a song of our choice, not using any of AE pre-created effects or transitions and only using the transform tools. I chose the song “Be Nice To Me” by The Front Bottoms, the idea was the lyrics were between two different people talking and having a falling out from being in a toxic relationship with each other. The wolf and rabbit imagery is commonly used to represent toxic / abusive relationships and the gritty dark aesthetics of the design were also to represent the relationship between them as well. 	In this project I was tasked in a group project with Lauren Mehl to rebrand an idea and turn into a campaign, we decided to go the political route and rebrand the idea of what “Transgenderism” is and how it isn’t a threat to parents who aren’t too sure about it / more conservative leaning to change their minds and love their kids unconditionally and accept them fully for who they are using Right-Wing Media-like tatics.&#38;nbsp; Many images were taken from the Digital Transgender Archive.&#38;nbsp;

The campaign include a logo lockup and branding system then we were to take that brand and create assets that included digital assets, merchandise, billboards and posters.

	In this project - I was assigned a Michigan Festival and was tasked to create poster(s) and a motion design piece along with it. The festival I got was Morel Mushroom Festival and decided to go for a family friendly appeal to it while still being true to my style! I wanted to make a series of a more silly and laid-back aesthetic for this project, using the morel mushrooms as the star of the show. The color palette I went for was a earthy and natural hues to represent the essence of the festival since this is a festival about mushrooms and collecting Morels is one of the biggest parts of this event and I wanted to make sure I captured that.

Research / SketchingThroughout the sketching process we were tasked with creating collages, moodboards, and research through words, phrases, and jargons!&#38;nbsp;In my research, I found a lot of information on the language of Mushroom hunting and foraging which then inspired the designs for the posters. I also wanted to include each set of the posters reflecting things that happen at the festival as well.
